At the beginning of the last century, the number of Spa Guests in Bad Nauheim was steadily increasing, new Spa facilities had become necessary.
It was again the art-loving Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig von Hessen who authorized the architect Wilhelm Jost to design the site in the Art Nouveau style. (see Mathildenhöhe, Darmstadt on my blog)
Between 1905 and 1911, Jost created the “Sprudelhof”, which surrounds the bubbling mineral springs of Bad Nauheim.
The site is currently used as recreation area and as a location for cultural events.
